Creator Spotlight: Dan Currier

Meet Dan. He focuses on the amazing opportunity YouTube and online video makes available to us. 

Dan believes that each of us has our own personal freedom, or that ultimate goal of being free to do what you want to do, when you want to do it.  Through his YouTube channel Creator Fundamentals, he is sharing the skills, strategy and mindset to help creators achieve their personal freedom through a full time career on YouTube. He is an awesome guy and definitely someone to look to for advice on navigating this crazy industry.

We had a chance to sit down with Dan and learn a bit more about him.

Why did you start making videos?
To Help Others Help Themselves

What does a typical work day look like for you?
Full time career during the day. YouTube from 9pm-12:00am and beyond.

Where do you get inspiration for your videos?
The search for that personal freedom all of us are looking for. What’s your personal freedom?

What equipment and software do you like to use for your videos?
TubeBuddy, Premiere Pro, OBS Studio, Canon T7i, Logitech C920, Elgato Stream Deck, Shure SM7B mic, cloudlifter, Sigma 1.4 24mm ART lense.

How do you get past mental roadblocks?
I keep a list of ideas on Evernote and when that doesn’t work, I give myself a break sometime to recharge and come back at it strong the next day.

How do you celebrate milestones/success?
I acknowledge with my community and share my TubeBuddy milestones.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Having even more time to help others find their personal freedom after successfully transitioning to full-time as a content creator.
