A self-proclaimed bookworm, Colleen has found a way to combine her passions for reading and teaching by educating parents and teachers on how to effectively read to children.
We had a chance to talk to Colleen and learn a bit more about her life as a creator.
Tell us a bit more about your channel.
My channel provides information and resources for teachers and parents about how to read books to kids.
Where do you get inspiration for your videos?
The content of my videos is a collection of ideas and thoughts from my teaching and parenting experience, as well as my studies of rhetoric and children’s literature.
Who are some of your favorite YouTube creators?
I love the Pick Up Limes channel, Yoga with Adrienne, Colleen Ballinger, and Social Media Examiner.
What’s one of the best pieces of advice you have received?
I can often fall into patterns of working on something until I feel as though it is completely ready or perfect, but of course I never truly reach that point. I have been wisely advised to instead follow a pattern of working hard at something, and publishing it when I feel it will be beneficial for others.
